Hmmm interesting. And MILLIONS of people lost their internet/data connections in Ontario yesterday....including me (through Rogers).

I'm in the midwest and we lost it around 9pm. It was pretty widespread. I had machines checking in 30 miles away reporing the power out and then the power returned. Then if flicked a couple more times. Not a local problem. It was like a supply problem or something. Very strange.

Never lost anything. I'm all UPSed.

I live in Quebec, two hours from Montreal.

Power has been going out here constantly. At least two to three times a day. Comes back on fairly quickly.

Also noticed something strange.. sometimes when the power comes back on my landline phone rings. Just one ring. The phone is plugged directly into the phone jack and has no power going to it. I've lived here a few years now and this has only started happening the last few weeks.

maybe an earthquake is coming. pressure in the rocks releasing energy into the lines, tripping breakers? who knows. been a number of quakes in that area lately.

I live in Omaha and between 4:00 and 4:00pm our lights suddenly dimmed.Later they returned to normal but I heard later on the news that part of our neighborhood had lost power......they did not give a cause!

Our power flickered twice down in Georgia, but no obvious cause.. no loud bangs, any sound of car crashes. It was almost like wind, but it wasn't even raining at the time.
