However I doubt the actual intention is to keep the asteroid in orbit around the moon, probably to have it go wrong and wipe out a large population center more likely. Surely you don't think NASA would be able to do this if the rest of the worlds space agencies objected?

Contrary to what the Multinational Corporate MSM keeps telling the American People, most of the world is right behind the Average American Citizen, no matter what these negative 'forces' put out. Quite frankly it's how the Average American stands up to this negative Influence in their Government that will ultimately influence all our lives, and so far what we are seeing is good. The US, like the UK, and the rest of the world has been pawned to the New Economic Order of Multinational Corporate Global Statism where the CEO’s and there ‘Investors’ will be/are writing new Corporate Laws to govern what has become the Human Capital which were previously called Serfs, Peasant and Slaves.
Only a fool would not stand behind the only people with a voice loud enough and a WILL to do some about this – and these are Americans, not the UK or, God forbid, China or India. The average US citizen are the only People on the Planet who take responsible Freedom Seriously.
