Well why couldn't you have just said this to start with and given the opportunity for a response. I imagine that it is human nature to look for some kind of high. There is evidence of that from earlier time and cultures. The nature of those hits has changed as society has changed. However, some of the things you mention are not true of most people and I think most people here on GLP are tired of the money driven materialistic world we are in...~!
Ofcourse there are deeper questions to life than this but if it really is coming to our world then does that mean it shouldn't be discussed?

I accept your apology...and I understand all that you are saying. But I think it is important to discuss both good and bad and be allowed our own opinions and feelings on all subjects regardless of whether we all agree. Enlightenment and escape from this greed, money and power led world is surely the best we can all wish for...  Oh and I too loved the whole moral concept behind star wars! Thank you Pinkpixie. you have a good heart, and you deserved a mate who would treat you well. Sometimes we can have the best intention while the other person doesnt. I appreciate the free expression here too and nothing was personal. Im learning my bounds and limits and forgiveness.. I cant wait to escape from this world of greed and money and power as well. We all know in our hearts what the word should be like We will soon be there...
