Subject 18 Facts That Prove Piers Morgan Wrong

Let's do some fact checking of Piers Morgans assertions.

Is the USA quite the gun-crazy violently disturbed people that he proclaims? Or is it a ploy to spout nonsense and improve his abjectly wretched ratings?

First, his ratings prior to this debacle:
In June 2012, the ratings were the worst ever in that time slot:

His ratings now:

How about that fact checking:
"#1 The UK has approximately 125 percent more rape victims per 100,000 people each year than the United States does.

#2 The UK has approximately 133 percent more assault victims per 100,000 people each year than the United States does.

#3 Piers Morgan continues to insist that there are more than 11,000 gun murders in the United States every year. But that is flat out wrong. According to the FBI, there were 8,583 gun murders in the United States during 2011. And as Ben Swann recently pointed out, 400 of those were justifiable homicides by law enforcement and 260 of those were justifiable homicides by private citizens.

#4 The United States is #1 in the world in gun ownership, and yet it is only 28th in the world in gun murders per 100,000 people.

#5 The violent crime rate in the United States actually fell from 757.7 per 100,000 in 1992 to 386.3 per 100,000 in 2011. During that same time period, the murder rate fell from 9.3 per 100,000 to 4.7 per 100,000. This was during an era when gun laws in the United States generally became much less restrictive."

Hmmmm? Well well. The Emperor has no clothes...
Rather self-proclaimed Emperor, for in our constitutional republic, the People are Soverign, not these talking heads, not the President, not those in the Legislature which make new laws which must by definition be constiutional, or else they BREAK the LAW of the Land. The Bill of Rights that guarantees the Natural Rights of the Soverign.
Those Natural Rights are inherrent (you have them at birth whether you realize it) and inalienable (they CANNOT BE REMOVED) but they are guaranteed (supported and defended) by the Federal Government.

No talking head from some foreign country, no matter how well intentioned, has any bearing upon the domestic policy of the USA. Sorry, they don't. They may have opinions. They may be intelligent or witty or experts, but they are NOT the American people. We have self-determination. That means, we are self-governed. Since we are Soverign then why in the world would we listen to those outside our nation? To do so would be contrary to the very definition of our nation. It also abrogates our responsibility at self-determination.

Those who break the Law of the Land, they are at best guilty of sedition (conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch), or at worst guity of treason (the crime of betraying one's country, esp. by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government).

Note: while aliens who reside within the USA do have natural rights, arguably they may not have guarantees of their natural rights. That's a BIG DIFFERENCE.

Example: Piers Morgan, unless in the process of becoming a US citizen and thus having a green card, may not own a firearm. So why is he even debating the point?

Do aliens have the right to free speech? Yes. Is it guaranteed by the Constitution? Not really. It can be, but if that speech advocates sedition or treason, it is by definition disallowed and not guaranteed.

Folks, read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Understand that we don't live in a democracy. We live in a constitutional republic. In a democracy, the majority determine the limits of natural laws. The minority therefore could lose natural rights. It is a lesser form of government.

While the People (Soverign) could up and vote in new representatives, or could cause a revolution and completely change our Republic, or propose ammendments which would negate the Natural Rights of the People, they have not as yet done so.

Why would you ever wish that? Why would you wish LESS Natural Rights? Why would you sacrifice your Soverignity?

Wake up!
