If Dorothy had used a Cactus and watered it tequila while playing it this melody, her results might have been different:.... It's all relative... |

Took me awhile to realize that it really is a "Highway to Hell", one of many ways to Hell in fact. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30845354 Yes, it's amazing how evil this music really is, the dysfunction it promotes as "cool." I know that people have been conditioned to mock the idea that rock music is Satanic, by the same media which promotes rock music. I certainly feel much better listening to some classical music than any rock music. |

Listening to traditional classical music promotes better thinking and virtue in general. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19453323 Not quite true...look at lives of some of the legends of Classical music...Mozart, in particular, was not a very nice person, and most of his music portrays his 'discontent' with society...he's like a rap, or hip hop star, from the past. |

They do not mention decibels for each do they? Last Edited by SpaceCommand on 01/15/2013 09:12 AM "With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests: "Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. For example, thinking through an opposing viewpoint to see if it has merit. Your outlook is very limited if you cannot consider alternative viewpoints, opinions, and thoughts. It is the function of the media to condition people to think a certain way, and dismiss people who have valuable ideas to contribute. It is a part of the social control complex which we tend to grow up in. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 19453323 United States 01/15/2013 09:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | basicly what you call classical music is what they called extreme in their time, just like kiss was the devil when they started.... Quoting: ...333... classical music , when you switch the violins for guitars, cello with a bass, etc..is basicly metal.. metal is way more complex then you think your theory is BS bud.....get back to bieber The music you listen to is much more closely related to Bieber than what I listen to, in terms of degenerative attributes. I am not a fan of Justin Bieber, which you would realize if you read my post, decrying pop music as well as rock. I am well aware of the complexity of some metal music. Complexity does not translate into health. The harmonics of the instruments used in metal, the tones in metal music create a sinister atmosphere. Metal music also uses sinister, fast-paced percussion. That is quite different from most classical music. Granted, some classical music can evoke a dark atmosphere. The classical music I listen to creates an atmosphere much more suited for studying and thinking about the loftier ideals in life. |

Dorothy's study points to just one conclusion...rock music is bad for people because it killed vegetables - (her limited observation) and then equates her findings to Human Beings. That is quite arrogant imo. Where was the test conducted (environment)and over what period?...soil conditions, and the specimens used, given the fact that most vegetable genes are spliced with things like fish and chicken, not to mention man-made pesticides...maybe she got a bad batch from Monsanto Incorp (Pty)Ltd and the terminator gene kicked in...Vegetables/Plants grown without the right Intellectual Property rights don't get to the budding phase of growth. |

Taken together, these provide compelling evidence that there is probably a degenerative effect elicited by certain musical styles. Have you studied cymatics? [link to www.reversespins.com] [link to www.cymascope.com] Dr. John Diamond published a book called BK, Behavioral Kinesiology, later changed to Your Body Doesn't Lie. He relates the story of feeling terrible one fine day in New York City. Being a health practitioner set him on a path of deduction. He wanted to know what common elements over two days made him feel ill. The only thing he could come up with was a visit to the record store Sam Goodys each day. But why would that effect him that way? The clue came when he realized the same song was played both days in the store. Voila! the common denominator. He just happened to be an expert in kinesiology and so began his odyssey of muscle testing himself and other people listening to various kinds of rock and roll for that is what he heard in Sam Goodys. The operative words...He didn't like it and he went home and the Daisies picked up his negative attitude and died..I agree, plant's, like animals, are sensitive to their surroundings...people in a bad mood affect them much more than me bouncing around.. happily listening to Led Zepplin...Plants feel my happy vibes and my African Violets Love Me...and they can be very moody... |
