Let people enjoy the last six months of their life in relative peace, then spring it on them in the final week or so. Announcing it six months prior would do nothing except create panic. Everyone would quit their jobs, the phones would stop working, the electricity, gas, etc. basically we'd be back in the Stone Age in a matter of days and then be forced to eke out a miserable existence for the next six months, only to then face our extinction. |
