User ID: 2439198 Canada 01/21/2013 05:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NO!...I mean Lake Noys, almost 2,000 human beings killed by a burp of natural gas from beneath Lake Noys old volcano. Lake Noys sits a top a mountain and when it burped all the natural gas, being heavier, floated down the mountain side and suffocated everything within like a 10 mile radius. [link to www.neatorama.com] ok...but that was a volcano... this is a salt dome Hey, maybe you'll both be right! Doom humor, no offence intended. |

Quoting: Carpet Gnome If the folks living around the area are not safe, I'm all for using tax money to buy their land and get them the heck out of there. Using Standard Oil money was a much better idea. But then Huey didn’t get offed for nothin’. Had he lived, Huey would have been the next president--thinking people in those days were not ready for communism. THINKING people still aren't, but there were more thinking people back then. |

Yes it has. It is the hydrogen sulfide. A google search turns up these results: [link to www.google.com (secure)] Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. “Things fall apart; the center cannot hold.” Yeats |

YouTube it! Corexit (synthia) (?spelling trouble)...Living organisms that is in aquifer!!! I'm wondering if any boats sunk, or structure failure could provide insight.... Didn't a platform make news? I wonder if cause was found? Sorry not trying to derail, I want to see the larger picture and you have to start from the puncture in GOM, DWH to see links, connections. Texas brine is golden gate petroleum (I believe that's the correct name of company) stationed at may salt domes. I find the lake fausse point (lake false point in English) interesting! Used to be sandy lake, sandy cove. A road was built through that area. This location is straight across from sink+hole ... Any ideas? I feel something isn't right! Lake causes point was slammed with lawsuits for chemical burns to children in their new water park about 1-2 years ago. Burns continue for days once encounterd. Not saying any reason to dispute fowl play, however we should always question and be aware. That feels red flag to me! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15257059 It is only 56 miles from Belle Rose to NO. An explosion could set off a chain reaction of other explosions and ground collapse. When this first started, experts were saying that to be safe an evacuation zone of 50 miles radius would not be out of the question. Now that it has gotten so serious, it would be more, I'm sure Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. “Things fall apart; the center cannot hold.” Yeats |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15257059 you say that as if you know for a fact how big the natural gas pockets are.... you do realize what happens when a salt dome collapses, right? and the worlds largest salt depository is under that whole area.... take a look for yourself.... [link to oceanexplorer.noaa.gov] if that area where to blow up it would most likely cause a domino affect that would sink the whole state of Louisiana as well as some of Mississippi and Texas! please educate yourself on the situation.... If I lived anywhere south of the sinkhole I would have already moved months ago! |

User ID: 32665758 Canada 01/21/2013 08:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Did the oil company drill relief wells in the area to relive the formation? Are they flaring (burning the gas coming from the wells) off this gas? if so what color is the flame(this is kind of important)? Can anyone tell me the target formation they were going for on the drilling rig? My curiosity is peaking on this. If you can find me a legal survey description for either the drilling rig or existing wells I can dig a little on this I think. I have more questions, but I don't want to hijack ... I'm kinda new |

I'm kinda new Yes they have drilled relief wells. Not sure how many, but the Oxy 3 Well is the one that has big cracks in the pad from the seismic activity. And, yes they have been flaring. Don't know what color the flame is. They have had trouble and have shut some of the relief wells due to them getting blocked with whatever is down there. In the link to the Assumption Parish Police Jury I just posted you can find the situation summary that is the "official" info.....
