"I have felt despair many times in my life, but I do not keep a chair for it." ~Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes Today is a gift, that is why it is called "The Present" “When an opponent declares, “I will not come over to your side,” I calmly say, “Your child belongs to us already… What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.” - Adolf Hitler “If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.” -Oscar Wilde Have a nice day, may God bless you :D |

I would need to get a little trailer and have enough money to pay for campsite rental until I can find a job (full or pt) to cover minimum expenses. It may take a couple-three years but it's definitely an avenue I'm looking into. |

Quoting: Bowyn Aerrow I'm like that on so many points in my life right now. How does one balance 'giving up' on a thing, a person, a job, whatever and doing what needs to be done? Are bug out bags only for when the SHTF? May I use mine now just to up and leave the mundane boring stuff? LOL Yes, I have... More times... Sometimes it just feels so painful The heart so broken and lonely Yet please hold on Sometimes we get trapped By our own perception of matters That also include relations Sometimes we find ourselves living our life how we think others want us to be Getting more and more fed up, by not being ourselves You know what F.... that Only you decide how you will be As long as you go by the truth in your heart, you can't be wrong Cut through the fears and the crap, how you think everyone wants you to be An just be you Lots of love to you my friend You rock!!! just be love in truth... |

If you're single you may want to get a used camper van (something comepletely self-contained) to live in. Something like the Rialto gets 20 mpg. Biggest expense for folks is lodging and utilities. Put some solar panels on it and satellite of internet/TV and you're good to go. The smaller camper vans are nice because they can be parked anywhere. Also, folks like to stay at RV parks with utility plug-in and showers. Here are some links at GLP. [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] Some of the used RV vans are not that expensive but here are some links of what's out there. It's a lightweight trailer, less than 6,000 lbs., and at 31' is rather roomy. The floor needs a little work though. Can be towed with most SUV 8 cylinder engines. ------ |

One thing that always bothered me about the reality of THAT DAY when you need to bug .. gasoline. I'd want to have lots of it. AND.. the hoards of crazies driving out of the cities turning into miles long deadlock. That would last days and DAYS.. thats seriously bad. I can only get about 300 miles before my fuel gauge starts looking hungry. I don't want to be hauling gas in my trailer but I could stow maybe 25 gallons, I guess. It just goes blank after that. Sometimes its easier to hope to be vaporized with the quickness. Ya know? |

Many of the KOA camp sites no longer allow older units--they need to be in good working order and they prefer the big rigs. Also, older campers are a real cop magnet in some states. Another feature that will keep you out of some parks is that the unit needs to have a working potty. Just sayin.... Cheers! SK |
