Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1705024 I see no evidence of this whatsoever in my case. I specifically remember being from a number of different races or peoples in my previous lives; none of them being related in any way by DNA to my present life. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt of the scientific paradigm to insist that it can explain everything; especially those things which it can't explain. Michael Oh, I have memories of being other races as well which would more likely be past lives however, if you really want to explore your past, it's very important to eliminate confusion by knowing which is which. Not really that interested in determining which is which; especially since I doubt anything but very general genetic memories anyway. I already have quite enough information from the lives that I actually have knowledge of living. And, in any case, the life I am living now is much more important. Michael |

Thread: Reincarnation in the Bible Its not clear to me why people crash threads just to post about Jesus, but whatever. There is no such thing as reincarnation, and all the theories and speculations of men upon that question, which conclude that a soul once incarnated can again become incarnated, are wrong, for the incarnation of a soul is only one step in its destined progress, from an invisible formless existence to a glorious angel or to a perfected spirit. A soul in this progress never retraces its steps - it is always progress, though sometimes stagnation takes place - but continues as an individualized spirit until it reaches its goal in fulfillment of the Father's plan for the perfecting of His universe. Anonymous Coward User ID: 33267997 United States 02/04/2013 12:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have memory of being a small male , climbing stairs to go to a classroom and being blown from behind thru the wall I was facing. It was black and I only felt a warm hardness under me. There began a beautiful waterfall of colors and celestial music. It was all around me. After a time, I noticed a discordant note in the music, intruding on it. It was faint at first but got stronger. I noticed it was coming from behind me. Music and colors faded sound got stronger from behind me - I could sense direction - and realized it was my skin boiling and popping. I had no eyes. I was screaming in my mind for my mother. |

When we met for the first time we both asked each other had we met before. No, we hadn't. But the familiarity has always been there. As we began dating, we already knew each other's likes and dislikes, patterns of thought, and inner emotions. We often wonder if we'd met before in past lives, and have simply found each other again. I think it's a beautiful story about reuniting and being drawn to a person you know but can't quite remember. OlympicLight |
Jackalope User ID: 3019531 United States 06/13/2013 07:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank you for posting this! Quoting: Holocaust survivor? 3737813 I'd like to say I don't totally believe in reincarnation-I don't really believe I was ever an animal or a monk... BUT I have a strange pull toward the Holocaust era, an almost obsession with finding out about it- I'm even taking a Holocaust course in school right now. I KNOW I was there, but I don't know who I was, where I was, what 'side' I was on...I feel like I was a part of the camps, somehow. I wish I could remember more-I pay attention to names of towns my professor mentions, but none of them sound familiar yet. It's the strangest thing, to have memories that you can't quite remember, from a time that's spoken about in history books. To try to explain to someone that you were there. To try to explain the difference between really liking an era and not having been there (I love 60's music and smoke and colorful flowers and VW vans, but have no real 'connection' or memory about that time-I can say absolutely that I was never a hippie) and having that feeling like you've been somewhere and experienced a time and have simply locked away the memory of it and the memories are at the tip of your tongue (mind). Does anyone know of a way I can 'remember' on my own, without seeing a hypnotist? BTW- no one in my family has any recollection of any members being in the Holocaust, but we came from southern Italy and Hungary, so the likelihood is fairly high that some distant relatives were. Thank you! I would really like to remember what my brain isn't letting me---or maybe I don't, once I start remembering, but I want to find out. Holy crap. You've basically described EXACTLY my experience (complete with the skepticism-countered-by-weird-stuff-you-can't-explain), except replace the Holocaust with WWI. I particularly resonated with this comment: "It's the strangest thing, to have memories that you can't quite remember, from a time that's spoken about in history books." I know exactly what you mean. It's the most fascinating, maddening thing. One particularly weird thing about my obsession with WWI is that it came on abruptly in my early 20s---came roaring out of nowhere and consumed me. I can't account for it in any way. Prior to that, I had little to no knowledge of (or interest in) WWI. And I have no personal or family history related to the Great War, not to mention a lifelong aversion to war and violence. Everyone I know is baffled, because I wouldn't be on anyone's list of "People Likely to Become WWI Buffs"...and yet... There are just so many strange things about me and my life (irrational fears, interests, etc.) that make perfect sense in the context of this conflict. But really, one of the strangest parts about it is the speed with which I absorb information about the war. I've always been a fairly quick study, but this goes above and beyond. I can read incredibly dry texts and stay glued to the page; I can remember myriad details from things I've read without any trouble at all. It almost feels like I'm being reminded of things rather than learning them afresh. Even my friends have commented on it. And yeah, I really identify with this comment too: "I would really like to remember what my brain isn't letting me---or maybe I don't, once I start remembering, but I want to find out" as well as this: I believe I was protected from knowing about that life, until I was ready to see it. It is pretty weird that I never even wondered what the life before this one was, all the time I was doing past life exploration. It appears that I was being kept from even thinking about it until I was emotionally able to cope with the memories. Even then, it was very, very painful to have to relive those feelings. Quoting: Gatica It was worth it, though, as reliving the pain helped me to release a lot of the pain so that I could heal. If I really was in the trenches, that's not going to be fun to remember (and that might account for why this interest didn't arise until college). But I'm still dying to know. |

The most previous one in the 1930's I was a little girl who agreed to be the sole incarnate for two wonderful people who had to go through the lesson of loss and to work on standing in faith in that lesson without falling apart. I was their only child they were very well of. I can remember me as a six or seven year old very happy holding their hand walking towards a Circus. I was so excited. Afterwards going home I died in a car crash I can clearly see the car we where driving. ditisek444 |

A few mins. later the phone rang and I was told she had passed away. After my grandmother died she use to come to me all the time. Both when I was awake and in dreams and give me advice. One evening yrs later in a dream she told me she wouldn`t be coming to me any more but she would be with me in another way. I asked how and she said I would know in the morning. That next morning my sister called to say she just found out she was having a baby. I knew then that my grandmother was coming back. I use to stare at my niece when she was a baby and could see my grandmothers face over this tiny baby`s face. My niece is so much like my grandmother it isn`t even funny. I never told my sister about any of this and see sees our grandmother`s manners, and habits, talents etc in her daughter too. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28575882 I also use to have very vivid dreams of past lives when I was young. I knew nothing of the cultures I was dreaming about but I was there. I could hear, smell, touch and see everything around me. Later in life I did some extensive checking. There were people with the same names living in the same areas I was dreaming about. I`ve definately been around a few times in the past.I have no doubt I`m an old soul! Yes! I've always believed I was my mothers mother and the reason I know it, was because of a dream I would constantly have when I was younger. In the dream I would always find myself walking toward home and I knew a shortcut path to take whenever I saw this puddle along the way. I never told my mother about the dream but I did mention it to my grandmothers sister(my great aunt) she gave me this funny look and told me that my GG grandmother had lived in a place as I had describe to her, then one day out of the blue my grandfather was reminiscing about the days when he was dating my grandmother and he mentioned taken her to see her grandmother(out in the country) and that he couldn't drive up to the house, they had to leave the car and walk a path to get there when it rained because of the mud. ..that was trippy |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 264366 Australia 06/13/2013 08:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lots of dreams about other lives. One life mentioned here about WW1, I also feel a strong connection to that time period, but out of all my dreams and recollections of past lives that is one where I too only have a strong fascination with but no direct memories or dreams.Except for once I was watching TV and the program showed a twisted dead body and there was something about the way it lay that kinda traumatized me. The visual of it lingered for many hours after in what I would call my third eye. I attributed that to a WW1 life. I couldn't figure out if that body reminded me of a friends death or my own. |
