Loud rumbles above WV
I am in the eastern part of West Virgina right along the Ohio River. We are having some very loud constant rumbling here. I heard what I thought was a loud, large plane fly overhead, some people outside kept saying, "what was that noise?". It has been rumbling for about 40 mins. Just wondered if anyone else on here was hearing it.

No. What's weird is that, the noise is constant. It sounds like thunder but it isn't breaking or getting lower or louder.

In Clarksburg. Didn't hear anything here.

It is doing the constant sound and it sounds like planes are flying in addition to the rumbling. If that makes any sense.

Re: Loud rumbles above WV
Okay. So I went to one of the news outlets in my area and it says the sound is from burning off petroleum by products. It says that this is done regularly but they have never had so many calls about the sound before.
