I don't mean to sound like a stupid "rah, rah" patriot, but the worst thing they could do is make an attack in NOLA during the Super Bowl. We've seen what the USA will do after something like 9/11, and we've seen what they will do even when much of the country is against military action. A unified, motivated USA war machine means HUGE trouble for these militant groups...

Hmmm. I'm not so sure about that. Organising as disenfranchised persons to defend an empire (the Arab Empire) is prett much an impotent gesture when the leaders of that empire are up to their eyeballs in corruption. That should be evident to all but the minimally functioning. The masses in the Arab Empire aren't living in the bronze age. We have options. They have elected to go down a pretty pointless route as it simply takes them in circles.

I just don't see how these clowns can do nearly as much damage to America as the Congress, Senate, Supreme Court and the Admistration has ALREADY done! It is not like Al Qaeda is going to eliminate the Constitution or float 30,000 drones over the country, I mean really!

The ironic thing is that any future terrorist attack by al Qaeda will have been funded by the American taxpayer.

Thanks to the War on Terror (which we lost) and the Arab "Spring", al Qaeda is now stronger than ever. Thanks to Western intervention, the primary obstacles to al Qaeda in the Middle East (Saddam, Mubarak, Ben Ali, Gaddafi, possibly Assad) are removed. Al Qaeda is more numerous, better armed, better trained, better financed, and moves more freely across borders than ever. They have free reign in every country that has been touched by the War on Terror and the Arab Spring. They have access to new heavy weapons and have received training on them thanks to Western intelligence assets in the region. They are about to get their hands on the Middle East's largest weapons cache in Syria.

It is almost like Bush and Obama WANT al-Qaeda to kill Americans.
