Well I can't speak for the US, but it's certainly true that most UK users of cannabis smoke it in joints, with tobacco. A few smoke it neat, but it's much less common to use it that way.

And fyi, they don't claim anything more than the facts showed. Obviously, further study is needed. Obviously, it is not now a fact that cannabis use increases your risk of stroke. But in this scientific study, cannabis users were over twice as likely to have a stroke.

Could something else have been the culprit, like tobacco use? Yup. Guess what? That is why they will study it more.
