It's totally true, my wife turned off my dsl about six months ago (that's somehow sposed to make me get a job)
It totally fucks me up, I am an information addict, I admit it.
Honestly it's probably just as bad as getting off of crank.
It's been six months and I'm still totally pissed. Sitting here trying to surf the web on a 0.009kbs android connection.
What a bunch of B.S.!
ain't no damn jobs anyway, dumb bitch.... slaphim

Christians suffer severe brain damage.

There is NO cure.

Should we be euthanising them?

I wouldn't doubt it. Almost anything can be turned into an addiction. Having withdrawals would just come natural in that aspect. blink

Not so much a drug withdrawal as palpitations from being cut off from the voice of god (My god, and no offense to anyone out there (note the lower case g))

I'm an internet addict. But when I unplug, I don't suffer withdrawals. I enjoy my life. I hate my computer. I hate my smart phone. I hate my addiction. I'm going to turn this stupid thing off now.

Did you quit alcohol and tobacco at the same time after 40 years of consuming? Just do it and see what withdrawal is.

Not as hard you think. Knew somebody who smoke and drank, when she learned she was pregnant, gave up drinking and smoking no problem.

I hope so because I'm planning to do it this time. I tried once or twice, it wasn't easy but now I know what will happen and I think I can stand that for 2-3 days.

lol you don't have 'withdrawls' from MDMA (extasy). There is a comedown period, think of it as a light hangover, depending how pure the mdma was.

but its extremely hard to become addicted to the substance

otherwise good read on web usage, i feel it sometimes

Not easy, and ain't denying it. But as mentioned, just from simply knowing she was pregnant, she gave up smoking and drinking cold turkey just like that, without any withdrawal or anything. Something to think about.

Maybe, but you can't shove a computer in a needle and inject it.

Re: Internet Addicts Suffer Withdrawal Symptoms Like Drug Users
Last month I decided that for 3 weeks I was going to give up something which I knew was going to be difficult to stay away from. So for 21 days I prayed and fasted the internet. By about 2 weeks in I was really struggling, it actually got harder instead of easier to stay away.
I am addicted to researching and learning stuff from the internet, as well as having a means to communicate with others. One website I will never be a member of though is Facebook.
To the world I am just a number, but the Lamb of God He knows me by my name.
