NO! It's a spherical object, probably moon sized and at a mean distance of around 5 million miles or so and closing!

It is well outside the orbit of our sun monitoring satellites, so forget looking there!

It would be in range of earth orbiting satellites, but try and get and image, forget it!

If it's not lens flare, why does it move in line with all the other lens flare in the shots?

Yep, the stage and production crew is ready. A splendid spectacle is being prepared for us all. Sit tight and have the popcorn ready. 9-11 will look like a low budget movie compared to this block buster in the pipeline.

Exactly. You aren't able to answer questions about behaviour that contradicts your claims. So, instead you resort to personal attacks.

- it appears, like clock work, as the Sun's position approaches the camera view, at the same time as the other lens flares
- it is visible in front of very thick clouds
- it is visible when other flares are visible
- it's the first flare to become visible, and is therefore present even with dim sunlight

Well, another disappointing day on the viewing front! It would appear that someone doesn't want you to view it anymore?

Although more realistically it's probably just bad timing with the volcano venting, isn't it?!!!

ufo's are known to hang out around volcanoes. a volcano down there could effect the GOM badly.

I still don't think that is a cave inside the volcano. I think it is a black triangle craft. It's too perfectly shaped and dark to be a natural cave...and there are numerous pics of UFOs flying out of this volcano. Just google it.

Webcam was offline for a brief period yesterday. It didn't make much difference to the viewing though which remained very poor all day!

Hoping for some improvement today!

It looks to me like something (green/blue ball of light)
is hovering above the volcano, directly above the cave.
Not out in space.(in front of clouds)
And look how black the cave is,
blacker than anything else in the crater.

Could the object be lighting the cave
when it goes in it? when it is not seen?
It is very strange for sure.
