Anonymous Coward User ID: 35339542 United Kingdom 03/02/2013 02:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This has been on our UK news. They were saying that sinkholes are not unusual in that past of the world (I think they said the area is known as 'Sinkhole Alley?) However they said the size of this one is unprecedented. I'm just thinking what a terrible way to go. It would not have been so bad if he was asleep and unaware but apparently he was screaming. Terrible for his family too. |

But the brother said the sinkhole opened up too quickly and went down "as far as he could see" Where do these sinkholes go? Perhaps here??? [link to www.youtube.com] Ask yourself, why was the man screaming? could it be he was falling towards HELL??? Well, lets see... one moment hes in his bedroom, tne next hes falling into a cold dark hole with peices of house and dirt falling on him... I can't say that I would be very calm about it. |

It depends really. If I was listening to a bit of Enya i reckon I would handle it pretty well, instantly accepting my fate and falling serenely into the abyss and an eternity in the depths of hell. |

In recent years they freed the Chilean miners. Hell, it's been more than a decade since they explored the Titanic! Ummm...we're still in 2013, right? Why can't they fish a camera/microphone/heat sensing device down there from a safe distance? Hell, they send robots to look for bombs, why can't they send one of them down? Truth is, they could...if they wanted to. And that is generally the answer to many "Why don't they..." questions. Or it could just be that they can't get Coke or Pepsi to sponsor the mission... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34293114 My husband has been a fireman for 40 years here in Los Angeles. He has gone into burning buildings to rescue people. Gone down cliffs to help others and he has gone under collapsed buildings to pull people out. He has worked his ass off to serve the people of LA. The next you get stuck or end up in building or have a car crash I hope they rescue you and save your life. Then you can spit on them!!! Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. |

Where are the pictures or video of this supposed hole?!?!? It was on the evening news you imbecilic DIMWIT. Irony eludes you, considering the poster inquires where are the photo/video of the hole, because there are none, yet you say it's on the news. There sure are a lot of posters here consumed with trying to deflect attention away from photo inquiries. |

Reports I seen said the hole was about 20 feet wide.... who has a bedroom that big? Not me.......a visual of the hole would be nice... Anyway, the home will be demolished reports said, maybe we will see picture of the hole then?? |
