I don't know if it's easter eggs from the programmers of the matrix or what, but it's way too frequent for all these to be a coincidence. A few years before, a new small Ukrainian Church (the Ukrainian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church) which had splintered off from the Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church excommunicated Benedict XVI as well as his predecessor John Paul II.
