Canada has contributed to asteroid detection, launching a detection satellite a couple weeks after the Chelyabinsk incident... First step towards a defense system.

this will be the next great human achievement.

Spend tons of money to keep stuff away from earth, but spend almost nothing on exploring space? Makes sense, in an idiocracy sort of way.

Everything your caveman 'scientists' set out to do results in the exact opposite. This will be pure comedy.

For sure, I figured one of the detection methods that will likely be used to terminate the asteroids deserved an honorable mention ;)

Western 'science' is rooted in the entropic nature of Western man, himself. Meaning, his attempts to tame, control, manage, and direct creation from Within the open construct and around his own foreclosed image of himself as god incarnate always results in the further destruction of himself and anyone foolish enough or unfortunate enough to be caught in his disintegrative constructs.

This is simple reality that can be readily seen all around us.

Can these 'master' human beings control the weather? NO. Can they control the atomic cycle and create his own 'sun' in the form of nuclear energy? No. Can he 'vaccinate' himself against 'disease'? No. Can he control reproduction to suit his own needs? No. Can he create 'super soldiers' who are invincible? No. Has ANY of his so-called technological creations resulted in the evolutionary enhancement of human beings within themselves as creatures in any way, shape, or form? No. Has ANY of his attempts to manipulate the food supply resulted in anything positive? No. And on. And On. And on.

Every single one of Western' man's ignorant actions results in his own elimination.

You want details of what will happen if the cavemen try to shoot down asteroids, meteors, and comets? Do you really NOT know what will happen? Can you NOT intuit it? Try stopping the raindrops and see what happens....

Which is another example of the Western cavemen having an innate FEAR of the world around them which informs almost all of his actions as he crafts a prison around himself to try to hide and 'protect' himself. Rain? Water? Oh no! You might melt!

It's why every crop of you who pop up on the surface eventually get chased back into the caves and slide deeper into 'hell' as you disintegrate on the ladder of created beings...

Finally some encouraging news on the asteroid front. The Russian incident should have served as a wake up call. What is really needed is more funding and the brightest scientific minds dedicated to this issue.

We should have had a solution to this problem 10 years ago
