Today at lunch, I have just watched 3 little Korean girls playing in the restaurant... Bad omen...

at least those 3 girls are safe, since their families left Korea, and are here in Brazil...

I was thinking about the possibility for war in Korea today.

With China ass slapping the US with debt, a war in Korea seems a way to draw China into the fold, seems like a chess move to me.

But yep, as usual, many innocent will die.

Men, Women, Kids, Animals, all will perish.

I hear ya, OP. Every time there's a new push for a new war and people get behind it, I think about all the civilian deaths that are about to occur.

Unfortunately, we here in the U.S. don't have to think about that as much because we are (relatively) safe. Unless the people we are at war with find a way to sneak their people in with a large amount of weaponry, we are fairly well protected simply do to our geography (isolated from most of the world).

Mmm...maybe that's why we like war so much; because we're isolated from it's effects...

Brazil will probably be fine as well during a massive war scenario.

But when I saw those 3 little Korean kids playing and singing in Korean, I remembered about their little cousins in South Korea who are going to die...

You know, I wish more people would realize that in the end, the majority of people are just people. They get up, have dreams for themselves and/or families, provide for those around them, laugh, cry, etc.

That's how we TPTB; by not buying into the hate, by not buying into the belief that "[insert group of people here] hate us," and by realizing that it's a very small minority that gets all the attention.
