Why the BS flags?

A fellow human is reaching out in the darkness.

Because we deserve to let the darkness consume us.

Wow, the gloom.

You know, I've often thought about this.. Many years ago i spent some time drifting and doing some soul searching.. It was such an eye-opening experience from me.. I would go from town to town, city to city, looking for a place to stay.. looking for a bed to sleep,, or a meal to eat.

For me it was a choice, an exercise of faith that i knew would be only temporary.. But that didn't take the edge off of the oppression i felt and the long term damage it caused me.. I met many good hearted, kind souls who had fallen through the cracks..

Some of them ran out of the will to live but could not find it in them selves to end it.. so they just exist in a state of limbo..
Some of them,, like your letter, aren't given the chances that most of us have because of mistakes made in the past.. (and you're right, in this generation we don't forget one detail of a persons past.. so easy for anyone to find that info.)
Some of them are there because of their own recklessness and just need to learn some hard-knock lessons on the street..

thing is we can't judge because we don't know why a person is suffering like that.. Mercy and grace is what we can pray for those souls and what we can extend,, if only in our hearts..

I know that one day i will make a difference in that capacity.. G-d willing i will help in some way!

Thanks for your thread.. it brings up a serious matter of thought for our generation.
