Note entirely. There is money, and there is wealth. Wealth is stored value. For instance if you are a farmer and your crop produces more than your family can eat in a year, whatever you sell is wealth (less operation costs, taxes, etc). Money evolved as a means or method of barter, instead of trading 2 chickens for a bushel of wheat money was used in the exchange. It evolved to have a known value between people from millions of trades.

Credit is also something else. It is a promise to pay in the future with money. But, credit can be spent immediately into the economy the same as money. Currency like dollar bills are really credit instruments, they are generated from debt.

The problem is that there is far more currency in circulation (debt) than there is real money or unencumbered assets (no counter party claims or debt free). And the amount of currency circulating is increasing exponentially in relation to real money to keep the entire debt bubble afloat.

The problems will only compound, as bubbles pop we see immediate loss but then the government and banks step in with their "rescue" and pump in even more credit/debt that has associated costs down the road. We go from one big crisis to the next big crisis later on and each step of the way your average person loses more and more.

Money is the symbol, what it was or is physically is dynamic (paper, gold, food, time) = money = resources at a perceived value in a given time. Your total resources, or total money (after everything is converted to the symbol, money) the value of the resources perceived in a moment of time is how you are defining wealth.

Nah, still disagree. What I left out above and should have added was there is an element of labor in money. Again the farmer is poor until he/she spends the time to grow the food and then sell it.

Embedded with wealth, or money as you are calling it, is both resources and labor. There is also an element of shrewdness as well, that is how to get the most "money" for your product. That can vary from transaction to transaction for a product of the same unit of material and labor.

He hits the nail on the head and is a pleasant fellow and would drink tea with him and discuss. i would not discount an ally on the basis of religion or politics.

But I do have a few problems with Islam concerning Womens rights and abuse and MUTILATIONS (female circumcision from mild to extreme) that I CAN NOT TOLERATE.

I'm an American, Women got their start in having a fair shake, right here.
