I think you'll find that many on this forum would say they understood.

There is something better to be had than the game.

Existence is trivialized, beauty is unimportant, grace is nonexistent, real purpose is lost.

Yes exactly, but it's really no game is it, more accurate would be to call it the waste.

Usually it's money. Whoever said money doesn't buy happiness is full of shit. The arrangement (the system) that we are stuck with makes it that way.

Yes I think soulsick is an apt phrase, thank you. But inspiration has been co-opted and cheapened to such an all encompassing degree that most meaning becomes lost.

There is wisdom in what you write. In my specific case it's not that I'm broke or without personal options but yes exactly the problem is systemic.

It is grace that helps you realize the futility of it. Now let grace carry you the rest of the way home.

thats why we have to learn to take over and make this world our playground without allowing any asshole to step on our toes.. i know its too late for peace and that peace can never be until the scum get erased but patience i suppose is the only thing we have to apply in this situation while keeping busy enough not to get bored to death? i dont know.. just go with the flow and.. let go and let god!!

We need about 3 billion more folks to get sick of it to effect change, but they all too busy watching TV.

Look at the upcoming youth, on the whole they are completely programmed to be pierced queer cyber space teens and look at the world around them with contempt, in effect isolating themselves from any real world left, there will be no great awakening, only sleepy sheeps making more sleepy sheeps until the crunch comes, then they're dead, useless selfish eaters with no respect or knowledge of nature, then only the awake will be left, that will be the awakening, sorting the wheat from the chaff, lots of chaff, and the grains of wheat will be few, as the struggle for survival that is coming will not discriminate.

I've been let down and depressed over this arrangement (our system) for years.

Thank you, I feel you mean well but in the end those are just soothing platitudes we've been handed and are just a way of coping, a band-aid on a mortal wound.

Yes my friend, I also. To be clear, it is not "life" I am down over, life is glorious and beautiful, it is the man made arrangement of life that we must conform to that is the problem.

It may seem so, but that is really not the case. The purpose of having a self is to eventually outgrow it. It stands in the way of progress and seeing things the way they really are. It is very difficult to let go of the self as it likes to have things a certain way, see things a certain way and defend its position. This is the ongoing battle and realizing futility only comes after one has exhausted all effort in trying to make things work their way. Grace will not stop. It wants you to know the truth.

Again thanks, I've known the reality of this struggle and the expansiveness of surrender to hitting rock bottom, letting what ebb in from there come, call it grace or what one will. My lament here is not that I cannot recognize that, it is that it is so little valued in our world.
