What I have done is used a program like toozl on a thumb drive, and loaded all of the books on there. I can plug into any usb and run my own operating system. Or pop out the micro sd card and put it into anything that can read text to read the books.
Another alternative to hauling around 1000 books n a bob.


Short intro to Toozl,

When sitting down at an internet café or borrowing a friend’s computer, inserting the TOOzL memory stick will keep my data and activity completely separate from the host computer. The software package contains apps like Firefox, Skype, OpenOffice, and Gimp, so it has practically everything needed for a quick productivity session while away from your personal computer. TOOzL runs on Windows, but should handle any version from 98 on.
