User ID: 32291577 United States 03/19/2013 05:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know some of you share my love for natural habits and stuff, so here I'm posting my experience with natural deodorants. Quoting: Who. I've tried different methods, such as using lemon juice and plain alcohol, but the one that is working for me 100% is... is......... ...sodium bicarbonate! Yes, what they say it's true! It really, really works. Lemon juice is fine, but it can stain your clothes and the smell can still be there (less, but there). Alcohol... hm, I wasn't very pleased with the results. However, sodium bicarbonate has surpassed my expectations, really. I've been using it for two weeks and I've sweated a lot and NO bad smell at the end of the day. YOU MUST TRY IT and post here your experiences as well. Here's a good video showing how to use it: By the way, I know some of you call it "baking soda", but be careful, because I'm talking about pure sodium bicarbonate, so, this is not to be mistaken with baking powder! I use this as well. I do it diff though. I make a paste then put it on gently and leave it on for about five min. I do this twice a week. And it seems as effective for me. Then again not much sweating here in Alaska. So for me its enough I will try this though in summer. Much thanks. :D |

Works for me and I live in Malaysia Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36335373 Yes, that is a must, but that doesn't prevent bad odour in all cases. I definitely need some kind of deodorant. Anonymous Coward User ID: 31702961 Mexico 03/19/2013 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use Sodium Bicarbonate and Corn Starch. That ia like talc powder, a drier plus the Sodium Bicarb. is the agent that kills the bacteria that makes you smell. You can use an essential oil if you want or Coconut oil, if you want but it is not necessary. I have used it since I began meditating in 1987. Aluminium in SURE Deodorant made me some painful sores in my armpits, so I came across Sodium Bicarb. It works great. |

Toms of Maine (makers of fluoride free toothpaste) now has a deodorant that is aluminum free. Comes in scentless and some "fresh" scent. So far it works well...we like it. Everything is bullshit |

I never tried it again. The lady on the video said it stays irritated for THREE WEEKS? Was that your experience, OP? I'd like to try it again because I'd like to go natural, but it was painful! |
Videobarbs User ID: 22467275 United States 03/19/2013 06:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How about washing regularly and keeping your clothes clean. Works for me and I live in Malaysia Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36335373 Thanks Malaysia as I was just telling a friend about my method which is the same as yours and I do not have any body odor (and I have a very sensitive nose). Same with sweating - Advertizers on tv got to people in the 1950s about both odor and sweating. Sweating is the body's natural way of cleansing impurities out and keeping cool in the summer. I used to sweat more when I was young (in varying) places, but it's eased off as I've aged; probably something to do with hormones or lack thereof. Bottom line; good hygiene = no odor. Case closed. |
