A few years ago I lost my business I worked for ten years seven days a week at (because of a dishonest attorney and accountant). I owed the IRS a mere pittance but because of the timing the whole thing imploded. FIVE of us lost our incomes, 3 of us, not me, were veterans and my business partner and myself lost our homes. One of the vets died homeless in a motel room.
