OP so sorry to read this.

I don't have time to go thru 7 pages but last month or so someone said Purina yet again had poisoned food - Beneful - my 80 lb dog had piddle issues and that's been resolved now that I feed both dogs Blue Bufalo (and nutritious table scraps).

I hope they are doing ok.

My little one has ACL and I found some good holistic pet advice on the internet.

We had a neighbor that poisoned three of our dogs on separate occasions. All died very early and then we found out our neighbors were throwing poisoned meat over the fence. People are evil!!

if its a virus, put some colloidal silver in their water. I put some in my dogs water every morning.
Arent the vaccines the vet gives full of toxins? I would stay away from the vet.
Muscle test to confirm that it is a virus and that the colloidal silver will help heal your precious family members

My sister's boston had symptoms like this. The dog like to eat grass, eat dirt and lick metal. The problem was the grass on the property had a black fungus/mold growing on it. It was a very humid summer.

The dog's health deteriorated at a alarming rate to a point the dog couldn't walk, the couldn't maintain weight and she had to be put down due to here suffering.

If it's a virus I would put a small amount of colloidal silver - like 1/4 of a teaspoon or a 1/2 - in their water dish. I've done that a few times with various pets and had it save their lives quickly without a visit to the vet...works great for bacterial infections too - cleared up some nasty absessed wounds from cat fights in our kittys.

That is an excellent comment, AC. I tend to think it is something environmental too and it could be something as simple as you say - fungus or mold they could be ingesting outside or licking off their fur or paws.

Another thought, OP, is it possible there has been spraying locally say for bugs or other things? something that maybe has gotten into the ground/grass? That might also account for the apparent appearance of poisoning, and it's so ubiqitous how would anyone even know. But animals are so much more vulnerable to us as they walk around on the grass and earth and are uncovered and they lick themselves, of course.

Just things to consider.

May not be parvo but sounds similar, perhaps same treatment would help? Gastro is gastro.
My dog, who was kept in, had same type symptoms. With no tests, doc said "It is a new mutated parvo, we have no cure. This virus can live in the desert sand for 2 years and blow in the wind."
He had been vaccinated recently before the illness.
Was it a new mutated virus? Was it the vaccine? IDK.

Re: BE ALERT FOR THE SIGNS - All 3 of my dogs have a "virus" signs to observe - vet has no clue other than Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis UPDATE
OP, I see you are getting so many words of advice but just wanted to say something that is a bit simple.

Once a friend came to visit me with her very large quiet and calm dog. Even thought the dog was not threatening, my 3 cats went berserk so I put them in a room together so they could stay clear of the dog.

Within a week, one by one, each cat became very sick...vomiting diarheah etc. My vet checked them carefully because it was around of the time that the catfood was tainted and many pets died.

In the end she felt that the dog being their home put my cats under so much emotional and then physical stress, they became more susceptable to oportunistic viruses. All three cats came through just fine in the end, but it was a scary experience to have all three become so sick. Evidently these viruses are around all the time without causing issues, but when one small thing goes off they can become sick very quickly.

Question is, have your dogs been in any stressful situations lately? You have to think very carefully. It took me a while to connect my visitor with the dog to the stress that was the culprit.

Re: BE ALERT FOR THE SIGNS - All 3 of my dogs have a "virus" signs to observe - vet has no clue other than Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis UPDATE
I just spent the last 3 days at the vet with my Miniature Dachshund. I had every test run for parasites, from A to Z, X-rays to rule out obstruction and 2 days at the vet clinic with constant observation and IV fluids.

My dog had blood in her runny stools, and was vomiting a white foamy puke and was drooling.

Every test imaginable has been done on her and it has now been concluded that she has a virus $1500.00 later....

This is also confirmed because now my other 2 dogs are now displaying the same symptoms.

I live in a very secluded area and my dogs only go out in a fenced in area to play and walk. I have tried to keep them separated as much as possible, but apparently this virus is highly contagious.

My dogs are always up to date on their shots and have had their heart worm medications on a regular basis.

I cook for my dogs, so there is no chance of them being sick from the dog food.

AGAIN - signs to look for
1. Drooling and foamy vomit
2. Diarrhea and runny stools
3. Blood in stools
4. Lethargic

My Dachshund is feeling some better today, but the other 2 dogs are now starting with the same symptoms.

Vaccines are junk. This is why animals now have diabetics, cancer, thyroid and other diseases like humans. Don't vaccinate your pets, livestock or your family.

Also check into the worm meds. Use Neem for parasites for dogs.

I hear you on the vaccines. They did not receive those recently. They were not due. It's hard to get a vet to treat a pet without them demanding vaccines. We have always kept them current because we do live in a rural area.

My son's husky had this very same thing happen last week. His dog spent Sunday night in the pet hospital costing hundreds of dollars. On Monday vet could not determine the source. I dont think he is eating normally yet.

Maybe get a real dog and not some miniature yippers.

Anything under 60lbs isn't a dog, it's a waste of time. And you cook meals for your dogs? You're one of those people.. Probably give them dasani water too.

Give it some dog food, and a stable diet rather than filling it full of the shit you eat.
