It sounds like you think the symbolism is supposed to be some secret thing that nobody is aware of, like the makers of the game are playing a joke on everyone by seeing how much NWO propaganda they can get away with without anyone noticing. That's just not the case. The story is an allegory for America as a whole, with the deeper purpose of showing that this NWO utopian America in 1912 is quite similar to even 2012 America. It provides commentary on concepts the modern American can relate to: minimum wage slavery, the consequences of the existence of the military industrial complex, and the fact that successful social revolutions ultimately change nothing. Expand your perspective, things go much deeper than "herp deep NWO in video games!". If anything, Irrational Games should be commended for getting away with the story's commentary on such powerful themes. |

The OP is obviously a sheeple moron and a christian on top of that, people like that can't perceive things right. This game is simply one of the best things ever made, probably the first authentic next-gen game of the decade. |

PUll your head out of your ass and keep studying, that kind of attitude will without a doubt be you ending. Not the way to reach truth or enlightenment my friend. You clearly have much more learning to do than you think, from what I percieve. Sorry for the harsh words, but sometimes its needed, i wish you the best. Be more humble. |

Also, this game is even better understood if you know the Bible and what it teaches about fallen angels. Very interesting indeed. You ain't godlike... accept it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15965235 United States 04/01/2013 01:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Bioshock franchise is anti Gnostic/Illuminati/New World Order. Booker has a brand on his hand that says A.D. Elisabeth is his daughter, her name is Anna Dewitt. The citizens of Columbia call this The Mark of the False Shepherd. A.D = Anna Dewitt = Anno Domini = the Mark of the False Shepherd B.C = Before Christ = Booker Dewitt/Jeremiah Comstock = Booker Comstock Jeremiah Comstock = J.C = Jesus Christ A.D = Mark of the False Shepherd = Shepherd = Christ Booker Dewitt/Jeremiah Comstock is Jesus Christ/Prometheus/Lucifer/The Light Bringer/Over thrower of the Demiurge’s Old World Order America = The Demiurge’s creation = Old World Order/The Matrix of Control Columbia = The Illuminati’s/Lucifer’s New World Order where we achieve our own Godhood Booker’s baptism = Christ/Lucifer’s/Prometheus’s sacrifice. Baptism = symbolism for dying and resurrection The Lutece twins = Duality = androgyny = The Demiurge’s use of duality, which the Matrix is built upon, a double edged sword. It gives rise to a savior/martyr figure over and over, which Anna alludes to when she shows the infinite lighthouses/Raptures/Columbias. Anna = us, the human condition, our unrealized (and by the end of the game, realized) potential. Basically the games story is anti-illuminati/Gnostic/Christ. The narrative informs us that we are being used by Christ/Lucifer/Prometheus to undo the Demiurge’s Old World Order, and that upon achieving our ascendance we should use our power to undo the Fall/sacrifice of Prometheus. Kill Booker at baptism, prevent the Fall/ sacrifice of Prometheus/disconnect from the Demiurge. |

A few men dictate the lives of the poor and those who assist the few are rewarded with wealth and power. It pokes fun at religion and shows that it is purely meant for control of the sheep. It even goes into racism and the fact that because the current religion worships white men it is the black men and women who are oppressed the most. Im just excited for the next dlc to come out! |
