I Had a Conversation with God Saturday Morning.... He Spoke Back.

Friday around 330am I began a very long rant. I demanded an answer. Nothing....

So that made me even more mad. I left my house. I grabbed a large sleeping bag, 2 pillows, and bible. I walked down 1st street 2 miles through the heart of town to the only holy spot I consider in my city. Little piece of land where 2 rivers come together and an indian statue stand praying with arms pointing to the east. All the way there still no answer.


When I got there I was very tired. I came across a man sitting along the river. He was homeless and a long way from home. He had a large all seeing eye tattoo'd on his forehead and an obvious drug user by his initial few remarks. (Funny cause I have a pyramid on my right arm) After I told him I didnt have any drugs, alcohol, or woman he began telling me that he was tired and in a small way opened up. I didnt have any answers for him. All I had was a much needed cigarette and some conversation.

After that I left found a spot under the bridge and curled up. I still wanted an answer but at this point gave up. I had no energy left. I quickly began dosing off. First time in my life I was falling asleep with no hope of an answer or anything for the matter.

Then the air changed and a few flashes of light flickered to the south. Within minutes the air changed quickly. Then a distant clap of thunder. Within 2 minutes of thunder a gust of winds blew through and it began pooring like crazy. I moved up more under the bridge in between to large landscaping rocks. As soon as I go back into my water proof turtle shell and zip up it happend.

It was a white flash through the sleeping bag with my eyes closed and still the brightest thing ive ever seen. The concussion I felt was like a bomb going off. I felt its force. The sound was incredible as I was under a metal suspension bridge and near the river. Kinda like this only right above my head...

I wasnt scared by it. In fact it put a smile on my face. Im into the weather and wasnt the least bit worried about the storm. It was fear as a child that grew into a passion a im an avid weather lover now because of it. It was our first spring thunderstorm of 2013 out of nowhere.

He let me know that He is there. I could have easily been shocked had that bolt hit the ground near me. The ground was wet and I could had been hurt. Instead I feel asleep to the rain and slept as good as I have in awhile. Woke up left everything there for that man and got a cab home.

He answered. He wont always do it in a way thats out right like that or even come with an answer you can understand. Do expect anyone to believe me? No, but I have to talk about it anyways. Funny I posted this on GLP about a week ago....

Showed up in a big way
Non-Religious believer in Christ still in my flesh and young trying to figure it out. Hard to doubt anymore for me
