I usually get over 20/day, but so far today just one.

I don't know about that. It'd have to pickled for a very long time. Too crunchy.

Hey Brief! See!! That's what I'm talking about. We get them all weekend long, too.

I only get charities that call the house, but here at work it's nuts...I just watch the called ID and google the numbers, there's always complaints on them.

We don't get anyone to talk too. It just rings and then it hangs up.

That's what we get, too. We have a small exchange, so we don't get too many charities, just weird stuff.

Oh, those are people seeing when you answer and when you don't so they can sell your number to other telemarketers...

I quit answering a long time ago. If I don't know the number, I don't answer. I just think it's odd. 3 whole days of NO telemarketers. Hasn't happened in a long time!LOL

I used to telemarket. Shame on me for sure I will go to hell. Anyway if your a good telemarketer, you only call a number 3 times. Your wasting time if you call it more then that. Odds arent in your favor at that point. Most likely youve been listed as a dead lead so they wont waste time on you anymore.

I have friends in the computer and communications industry, and one told me that a band leader's whistle is just the right pitch that won't be filtered out...and if you blow it into the phone hard enough you can make the person's ear bleed...one thing that helps is to answer real soft and quiet so they turn up their headset, and then blow the fuck out of the whistle...I keep one by the phone :)

Seriously, no one else has noticed? We've been getting calls from the same number like every other minute in 5-10 minute stretches for monthes and now, nothing at all. Maybe I'm jinxing myself, but it's just odd.

No shame. I even did it for about a month for an accountant friend of mine, but it was just local calls. I didn't like it much, so I quit. I hope they stop. It's been a royal pain.

I don't know if I'm ready to make anyone's ear bleed, but I wish I had my fil here. He has Alzheimer's and loves to talk to them. He doesn't have it really bad, but it's funny to hear him wind up the guys trying to sell him a cruise! He used to do it before he was diagnosed, but he's better at it now.

One can hope!LOL

Aw crap! I'm sorry Brief, really! I was just thinking I'll probably start getting some now, too.

Seriously, I got one from them last week!! I don't know why, I don't have my business anymore. My shop's been closed for several years.

LOL!! I give the phone to my 7 yo. They get an earful about Barbie doll & Teddy bear adventures.

She gets really po'd when they hang up on her & then takes it out on the next one unfortunate enough to call.

I have never borrowed money, ever!

Some of the comments are funny though :)

They were all getting your phone number from a single data source whom they were subscribed to. That source either rotated your name off their lineup or their web site was down.

to telemarketer hell where all the people they called torment them 24/7 with phone calls trying to sell them shit they don't want.

That's what my fil does!! My kids used to answer them, thinking they were too smart. They'd use their limited Spanish. I kept telling them it would get them in trouble. Hello....we live in West Texas!!LOL I used to speak Dutch to them, but it wasn't worth the effort.

I didn't think about the websites. That might be it, because the calls we get are robo-calls.
