[ link to news.yahoo.com] In 1964, Eady Rothstein was just a 5-year-old girl hanging out with her family by a pool near Lido Beach on Long Island, New York. But she fell into the water and nearly drowned before a 21-year-old lifeguard, Larry Brickman, saved her life. And now, NBC 4 New York reports that nearly 50 years later Rothstein has tracked down the former lifeguard to thank him for rescuing her. More at link. |

In 1995 my sister and I were drowning in a rip current at a beach behind my house. My mother was like nine months pregnant and was having a panic attack. My sister was pulling me down trying to save her self. Anyway a guy in a wetsuit saved both of our lives it would be cool to thank him. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1626241 Yea, hard to track someone like that down. Would be awesome to be able to meet him today and shake his hand. IMHO. |
