For once I agree with ZaZZ.

Don't agree with the race stuff, but with Monmouth U. & Jersey Shore Med so close to each other it had been in the mind lately, especially since I live near the hospital and went to MU.

If it happened in Wayside or Ocean, its news.

In Long Branch or Asbury, not news.

In no way am I saying LB is perfect but if you think this is a "ghetto" then you are in for a rude awakening...this town is a walk in the park compared to other towns...where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

Is Long Branch a ghetto like Camden, Trenton [and even Trenton has a few nice parts], or Newark? No, but it is absolutely a ghetto full of drug dealers, their customers, illegal immigrants, and the mongrel children of the aforementioned.

I live in Milltown, NJ.

Camden, newark, jersey city, new brunswick, make long branch look like a great place to live.

New Jersey is actually quite nice and rural is certain parts of the State. Unfortunately because of its proximity to both New York and Philadelphia and being home to several very good universities [Rutgers, NJIT, Princeton, RWJ Medical] it attracts a lot of immigrants and the state is being built up at a rapid pace with McMansions, housing projects, and the like.

and Camden recently laid off half of its police force... cant even be a white person driving thorough there... cops will escort you out

New Brunswick is like mini Mexico City. Full of drunks, as well. At least the naggers seem to have been finally pushed completely into Franklin.

No...I live about 1 1/2 hours southwest from there in a quiet little town. I never hear of any crime here...lol, so I really don't know what's going on in other areas.

I have driven through Long Branch along Ocean Avenue and thought it was nice. I've never lived there.

My daughter lives in a beautiful shore town way south of Long Branch. They don't have any crime there.

go north on ocean ave and head 1 mile west on seaview ave.... big difference going from rich to ghetto/hood/poor.... anyone whos visited long branch doesn't know that

Because they KNOW we're about to get hit and HARD!!! It has nothing to do with a machete.

Will do because I'm curious. Where does Jon Bon Jovi live? I've seen his house...thought that was across the water from Long Branch. I might be wrong.
