| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 39227461 Portugal05/02/2013 03:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There are reports of shots being fired this afternoon at a Bush Intercontinental Airport terminal. At around 1:35pm Houston police say they were called to a "discharge of firearm" at Terminal B. They say an armed male was at the ticket counter and the male suffered at least one gunshot wound. HPD says the male is being taken to a hospital. According to police, they are not looking for anyone else at the airport who may be involved in the shooting. The FAA has issued a ground stop for all flights at IAH. We have a news crew on the way and will bring you the latest once we get more information. Just last month, United Airlines unveiled the newly renovated Terminal B at IAH. The new 225,000 square foot South Concourse is four times larger than the previous facility and is used for United Express regional flights. [link to www.chron.com] From one of the comments: The captain said an air marshal fired at the suspect, but missed. The man then pulled out a pistol and shot himself, according to an HPD captain. A pistol = AR15 or AK15? Sad all around. |
