If you want to know the truth you need to go to the Bible. This world war is the fourth seal of Revelation where 25% of the Earth's surface will be wiped out.

The 4th seal comes after the 3rd seal is done. You will know the 3rd seal is completed when people are working a day for a quart of wheat.

So do not expect this war until food prices get that high.

It's more to do with the writer/director holding a mirror up to society and trying to find a common ground or popular frame of reference. Less to do with literal foreshadowing.

When idiots watch these films and then notice elements of the narrative in their real lives, they think that they predicted it, not that it existed before and they never noticed it.

It makes me cringe when the likes of Wilcock and Cassidy try to use film plots as evidence for the supernatural.
