I lost time and was speaking strangely
A couple days ago, I started having what my neurologist calls an occular migraine. This is usually what they look like
but instead this time, I went blind in the left field of my vision. The next thing I knew I was in the car being raced to the hospital. My husband said that I was blubbering and speaking weird. Then became unresponsive. When I get to the ER , I am completely unable to form a complete thought. The words were there, but they wouldn't come out. The ER did a ct scan and blood work that came back normal. The nurse made sure I could walk, and that was all they did for me. I tried to contact two of my doctors and neither would see me(I have to wait til Monday) When I got home I had a severe headache, and felt strange, and now..today..I feel normal. I took no medications, don't drink, and did nothing different than usual. I have had migraines before and was diagnosed with a trigeminal nerve disorder, but I've never acted that strangely or passed out before. A few times I've gone to the doctor they said my left pupil does not dilate correctly, but other times doctors have said it appears normal. Sunlight and bright lights always cause auras for me, and I have severe photophobia(Which isn't fear of lights, it's sensitivity to it). That started around the time my pupil was said to be weird. I also have had MRIs(on my head) which are normal. So far, I've seen about five doctors over the course of a few years, all who want to put a bandaid on me(medication) and won't investigate to find the cause. I stopped all the medications, and now I'm thinking about going back on one of them. I feel like I've worked so hard to be away from the meds, but now I'm just worried about being home with my kids alone. What if I pass out with my kids around, my oldest knows how to call 911 but I can't fathom them being unsupervised at all for any amount of time. That terrifies me. I guess I just need advice. The medication I took before for my migraines was amitriptyline. I was given sumatriptan and others like that, but they gave me severe chest pains. Anyone ever pass out from a migraine?

Re: I lost time and was speaking strangely
I've had all sorts of weird neurological stuff happen around migraines and my brain slows down in function, but no passing out.
Sounds like some sort of seizure?

Re: I lost time and was speaking strangely
A good few years ago I started having occular migraines. They came completely out of the blue and steadily became worse to the point that when it happened I could only see the print on the right hand side of a single page.
In the next few months I also becamse extremely sensitive to light.
Around a year after the visual disturbances started I wakened up in the middle of the night with the most terrific headache. I got out of bed and saw that the white in one eye was deep red. I made an appointment at the doc who sent me straight along to hospital. To cut a long story short it turned out I had Episcleritis (inflammation on the white of the eye)and was treated with Steroid drops and anti inflammatory drugs. It took around 6 months of treatment and hospital visits to clear up the Episcleritis but since then I have not had another Occular Migraine
