Re: The Art of Love
Took a woman home from a singles meeting in town, who I didn't know.
Asked her where she and her children were having Thanksgiving. She said they weren't, as the had no money for a turkey, etc.

Immediately went shopping for turkey and all the extras. Knocked on her apartment door, after depositing the two bags of groceries in front of her door.

Waited around a corner of the hallway, to be sure they answered the door.Someone did and I left.

Looks like your 'handle' is a good way to describe this thread .... Forgotten.

Of course you DID include all the religions known to most, so that was probably a turn off.

Yea, people always seem to forget that all religions teach basically the same stuff. And every religion has some "crazy" stuff too.

Thanks Forgotten, I need this stuff several times a day.

The world needs more people like you! And if they are indeed here, then they should take action as such!

Re: The Art of Love
Love fulfills God's Law, the ten commandments but it does not save you. The Law is good but it makes sin worse. For every nice thing on this video the world will produce countless evil acts at the very same time.

This Sentiment is not truth. The only good deed, good work, comes from faith in Christ, even then they are filthy rags before God.

We should be talking about repentance and faith first, then comes real Agape.

Rubbish, forget about repentance, sin and faith.
Start giving yourself a chance by loving yourself.
Next step start loving others and experience that it will be appreciated sometimes.

Hi Forgotten - so heartwarming - thank you.

The one photo of the Kenyan female runner passing the water to the Asian man with no arms during the race - she is an elite runner and that was a big race - and she cared less about losing her 'time' than helping him out. Loved it.

Everything is "God". How could there be any other way.

You, me, the keyboard I type on, My Dog, The earth, the Universe. All God. After all my research it is the only conclusion I can come too.

A Toltec is an artist of Love, an artist of the Spirit, someone who is creating every moment, every second, the most beautiful art - the Art of Dreaming.

Life is nothing but a dream, and if we are artists, then we can create our life with Love, and our dream becomes a masterpiece of art.

Even in Adelaide now, you can buy a coffee, meal, etc, and have it held over for someone who needs it.

Same as in New York.

Re: The Art of Love
You know, as a christian, it pains me that so many christians forget what yeshua taught, to help and care for others as you would have done onto you.

Honestly, helping others imo is far more enjoyable than spending money on yourself, but that's how i feel i suppose.
One who chooses selfish actions has their reward, one who chooses selfless acts, also have their reward.
