How many GLP'ers are Homesteading??
Country, Suburban, Urban??

Would like to take a "pulse" and see how many of us are homesteading. If so, what do you have going on? Preppers, please chime in! It is all intermingled in my opinion.

What are your contingency plans for situations such as:
EMP's
Nuclear Fallout/Radiation
Water Shortages/Draught
Ect..

Right on!

That's on the needs list for sure. $'s tight.
But, we have a house, suburban situation, my kids are in 4H and show poultry, so we keep chickens. I also have x8 raised beds for veg production. Have some fruit trees and a couple of rabbits. I'm good with making compost, and can a lot of the summer crops. Husband loves to fish both ocean, lake and river.

I'm a viticulture and enology student as well, and have gotten down the wine making and vine growing processes. Figure it could be good to have that skill/inventory for barter, trade ect. Cab Sauv, fermented for 8wks, and barrel aged in CA oak for 20 months, with a light toast level...hubba, hubba!!
