Local TV has just made the claim that this is the single most destructive tornado is recorded history. 2 to 3 times the destruction of the May 3rd 1999 tornado that hit the same area.

lived through the May 3rd 1999 tornado that hit more (block from my house)

my folks still live there - they were an hour south today - not sure if the house

made it - stay strong OK.

Was anyone watching this live on cable?

They showed it from beginning to the end, I lived in the south and through some tornadoes and never seen anything like this.

The live camera was from a helicopter several miles away.
