A storm is rolling in
I can hear the thunder in the distance. Storms can get severe here in the spring. It's been unseasonably hot here this week. I hope this storm doesn't get too bad.

I hate storms. I had a nightmare when my daughter was just a couple of months old. In the dream, there was a storm and a tornado ripped the roof off our house. I was lying in my bed and the force of the storm wouldn't let me get up and go to protect her, and the tornado sucked her out of her crib! When I woke up, there was a real storm - the worse lightening storm I have ever experienced. No tornado, but we were without electricity for hours. I went and sat on the floor by her crib for the duration of the storm. She slept through the whole thing!

Ever since then I have hated storms. I know its not rational. But I get this uneasy feeling at the first hint of a storm coming. For years after that dream, when a storm would come, I would go sit by my daughter's bed til it passed.

It's cause all the electricity and energy in the air makes your heart race. One time I was in an Attic Bedroom during a storm, and I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest!

Everyone should take time to think, the idea of death can help one to recognize the gift of life.

yes VG - in Texas! Used to live in West Texas and every spring had 3 or 4 severe storms - I mean the run for the closet because there are tornadoes and the hail is so bad the windows might break kind of storm. I'm north of Houston now so it's usually not quite that bad. But they can get ugly!

Are you having storms up north?

1871 - no chocolate left! I ate it all last night.

Maybe a glass of wine would be more helpful tonight. I don't need to get more wired!

BD and OIM - thanks. I'm sure I'll be fine. I know my response is not rational and have learned to realize it is a response - not a sign of what is going to happen!

Johnny - I never thought about that, but it makes sense.
