User ID: 4583104 United States 05/27/2013 01:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | San Antonio Flash Flooding / Tornadoes and raw sewage Clipped from a Reuters article that I can't post here due to copyright issues: "Adding to the city's woes, a 54-inch (137-cm) sewer line cracked, spilling more than 100,000 gallons (378,541 liters) of sewage into the San Antonio River, said Anne Hayden, a spokeswoman for the city's water and sewer utility." Apparently the holiday weekend trumps emergency response in some cases "Emergency operations crews will fan out on Monday to assess damage to property including roads, bridges and drainage canals, as well as dozens of homes that had to be evacuated because of flooding". I guess someone decided that shit can wait. Something is better than nothing, pay attention, it's still free. Lead by example. |
