Things keep happening faster and faster. Is the Singularity coming?

They can now make embryonic stem cells out of adult cells, which has the potential to cure just about anything. Q-bits have been constructed and proven to work, so quantum computing is just around the corner. 3-D printing is set to revolutionize everything in manufacturing. We don't seem to be any more likely to blow up the planet than we were, say, fifty years ago, so I'm cautiously optimistic. We just might last long enough to see what happens next. So, what is it? First thing, in my opinion, is figure out how to get to and live other places besides this one planet.
