Summary:

Every single Man would like to go back to the period of their "Wonder Years" typically age 10-16 and relive life in that period carrying the accumulated wisdom they have currently obtained.

Women don't seem to have this fantasy.

I'd be curious to break that down and see what the difference is.

I think it's because women need to feel protected and secure, and at the point in their lives where men start to wax nostalgic, the Women are finally feeling that sense of security and wouldn't trade it.

What I got from that is the lack of 'menace' there seemed to be, everbody it seemed knew their place and didn't step out of line, else there would be real and swift consequences.

Nowadays there just isn't that faith - you dare not look askance at anyone acting out on a street, because they will be in your face in a heartbeat, no-one will come to your aid and the police if they turn up will likely as not give you a hard time out of some P.C insanity.

Nowadays you only get that sort of peace in rural villagey places

My grandmother wasn't in the house segregated when she worked in a ordnance plant and then ran her own cafe for 35 years after the war. My own mother was one of the fist female peace officers in Kentucky[deputy constable civil process job but still not in the home quiet as you claim}Oh and if you want to get into the plight of blacks then remember far more blacks owned their own business and home back then,more far two parent homes and the church{whatever you think about religion} was central to the black community and instilled moral values and decency. It was better in everyone way even during the harshest times. Communities really did rally together and respect and value one another but go ahead believe and spout you BS history revisionism. The people look healthy,well dressed with self pride in their appearance and the city looks clean and orderly. doesn't look like it was filmed yesterday to me. if it was yesterday it would be load with the decay,filth and vermin we suffer from in our current society.

They'll view our time like we view the Dark Ages. "There was a time when it was legal to kill the unborn, and... What a horrible time that was."

Or, we'll be extinct. Because, there's only room for improvement at this point.
