Agreed. It's all about marketing and brands now. Players are simply brands that are being built and marketed by the companies who own them, from the sports leagues to the t.v networks to the cooperate sponsors. Theses multi-billion dollar companies turn a blind eye to anything wrong the players do, because they profit from it. So they secretly condone and ignore the drug use to create their STARS.

I remember the '88 A's. That was my team! Jose Canseco introduced baseball to steroids. Then he went on a vendetta to out everyone who used. What a douche. I'm still trying to figure out how the Dodgers beat them when that team was barely able to make the playoffs. The A's should have won the '88, '90 World Series in addition to the '89 quake series that they won. Go A's!!!

Something funny I just remembered. There is a guy that I used to know from the gym I workout at who swore up and down that Lance Armstrong was clean. That was a few years before he got busted. I knew Armstrong was using because I've been around meatheads, weights, and gyms since I was old enough to lift. I told this guy that it was easy to beat those tests. He would get all pissed and say that not everyone needs steroids to be a great athlete. I would just laugh and say, "someday you'll see." When it happened, this guy I knew just put his tail between his legs and bleakly said, "I guess you were right." Then he said that Nike would not be firing him. I told him that when his sponsorship caused a drop in sales that Nike would get rid of Armstrong. I guess I was right about that, too.

Athletes are nothing more than marketing tools used to sell a bunch of worthless merchandise. If anyone thinks that Jordan needed special Nike shoes to dunk a basketball they are nuts. Jordan could slam a ball even in a pair of slippers. Nike sure made a shitload of money of those shoes, though.

that's fine if you don't watch the game, but if that's the case you should probably keep your mouth shut when it comes to critiquing the players. there are some very good, talented players that don't cheat. some better than the guys you mentioned.

This is more truth than you usually find about this subject. There are some amazing "PEDs" that have NO harmful effects. They should be used by many of us "proles" but we are so stupid to condemn them as if they were cheating or juice heads. In doing this, we erase even the thought of what might possibly benefit us.

The mind manipulation is a thing to behold when you understand how this is working. Not once will you hear about any specific "performance enhancing drug." Thus, the mind of the proles will default to "steroids."

It's both a sad and beautiful thing to witness people condemning the very substances that would enhance and, in many cases, save the lives of many.

It's funny how jealous people on glp are of the success of pro athletes. Every time a sports thread pops up there are pages of people ranting about how pro players should make 50k, etc.
You would get paid hundreds of thousands and millions a year of people wanted to pay to watch you flip burgers and teach kids. Unfortunately they don't do you don't make that money. Time to get over it people.
