YOU'RE KIDDING ME!! So someone else saw it too?? I would love to see that picture!

One thing I didn't mention, because I didn't get a good look at it, was the fact that there actually was a second thing in the air, trailing behind the other one about 200 yards behind. It was much smaller and red and, while I didn't get a great look at it, it was also unidentifiable, even though it had more definition to it (and different parts/colors).

I'm not so sure about the second one, but the first one I know for a fact was bizarre. The only thing I've ever seen that even comes close to it is what was described above as a car-sized drop of Mercury floating in the air above the city. It looked and moved just like Mercury.

Wow.

Almost guaranteed that it was some sort of balloon.

The only other possibility would be an Einstein-Rosen bridge ...

OP, I believe you. I saw the exact same thing where I live. I was on my way to work driving through Louisburg, NC on hwy 39 going north when I just happened to look up through my windshield and I saw exactly what you are describing. Nobody else seemed to even notice anything. It turned sideways, and it disappeared! I was shocked! never seen one before in broad daylight. But I saw it that day and no, it was NOT a weather balloon. I had to keep an eye on the road because the traffic was heavy that morning. Didn't want to get into an accident. It was a silver metallic color, too.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

Re: Look, I'm normally a doubter, but I saw something today I can't explain.
I live in West Valley, Utah. I was driving this afternoon at roughly 3:45 p.m. and getting on the freeway when, because of the angle of the on-ramp, something caught my eye in the sky.

At first I thought it was a balloon of some kind. It was silver-metallic, no seams whatsoever, and unbelievably shiny & reflective. It seemed to float on a center that was part of the overall object.

It LITERALLY looked just like the material that the second Terminator was made of. That silver stuff that flows really loosely like water but is metal. I swear on my life this stuff was moving around like it was molten or made of a really loose balloon material (although it looked nothing like a balloon at all).

It was probably 700-1000 ft. in the air and moving south pretty quickly. I actually pulled over on the on-ramp just to see if I could get a better look at it or some video...but there was so much traffic and because of the angle of where I stopped, the only look I could get was in my side mirror on the passenger's side. I was able to confirm that I saw it three times, so I know I'm not crazy. I was literally surprised that no one else stopped to take a look at it. It boggled my damn mind.

It really did look like a large, metallic, flexible balloon with no seams that traveled in a straight line south and the exterior (away from the "nucleus" of the object) moved around like molten silver metal, like I said.

Strangest thing I've ever seen. I mean, I've seen those little bright lights in the sky at night do some weird things sometimes, but nothing like this, in the middle of the day, that I couldn't explain but can only describe...

Weird.

Thanks for responding (as well as others). I still can't believe that I saw what I saw. I've always kind of been a skeptic when it came to actual ALIEN life (vs. government top secret vehicles), but this was something that no matter what questions I threw at it in that short period, I couldn't really describe or even understand what I was seeing. I've seen all kinds of balloons in different situations (including the mylar/reflective types) and they've never appeared so controlled and liquid-like as this did. And the way it moved so fluidly through the air was dazzling.

The plasma is heat and at certain levels the plasma can become reflective like a mirage. Another "daylight" visual vestige is the plasma can look like a tangerine iodized color..like orange reflective flame. At night a wider range of optical variations and variations to the intensity of the oscillating wave motion of the "surface" is more observable.

Very appreciative of the responses! These are great. I'm not a science guy - so I'm a bit perplexed by it all. I did apply the sci. method to the best of my ability to see what I could make of it and it's definitely a UFO, in my opinion. Not a balloon by any means...wish I'd been able to capture a picture or find an example on the internet, but I haven't been able to (yet).

Well, it definitely was the size of something dronish. And I made the mistake earlier when I originally posted. It was only maybe 200-400 feet in the air. Nowhere near 1,000.

You blew my mind with that find! Nice job. Seriously. That's exactly what I saw that day - the only difference being that it was moving southward and had a small satellite that was following behind it that was small. Crazy, crazy, crazy.

However, I think that was found to be balloons. This was a solid structure. Totally solid. I could see it well enough to know it was solid and seamless.

My first thought, to be honest, was what the other guy said about my reality being altered. As if I was suddenly able to really see things on a different visual frequency. I've had a VERY strange 2013.

I still don't buy the blimp story. It moved too fast and had lights on it at dusk. Official story is in the link....I was within two hundred yards of it for about ten minutes.
