The same applies to the spiritual plane. There, also, boundaries are necessary. Before inviting luminous spirits to a spiritual work, mages surround themselves with a circle; they set the boundaries of the territory within which they are going to act. As for disciples, they must learn to draw a circle of light around themselves every day, if only in thought. In the absence of this circle, their spiritual energies dissipate, and they are no longer protected."
