Help Needed! Meteorlogical Data. Satellite image archive. | |

I want to make an IR animation of a two week period in May 2013 as part of a project I'm working on but the bookmarks I had don't seem to work anymore. Ideally, I want something like a Java loop which allows me to specify dates or a website that allows me to 'batch download' stills in gif format or similar, so I can animate them as a sequence. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've spent the last four hours looking. Some of you guys are really switched on when it comes to following weather patterns and I was hoping you might have a link you can share with me. If anyone can help I'd be most grateful.  |

My weather bookmarks are a little out of date but out of my 27 weather bookmarks ~ 14 no longer worked, 10 didn't host historical data, and the three that did either didn't have Europe or the Java app appeared blank. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy but I'll wager that in 2005 I could have found what I was looking for in minutes. |

The only drawback is for each one I need to set date and time, then retrieve and download. If I can't find an alternative I could do that but I'm just thinking ~ the data is hourly so that's 24hours x 14days. I'd have to do the above 336 times. The link is much appreciated, I wonder if there's any applications I could use on the url you gave me to batch download the images. |

Thanks Dr. I think I'm just going to have to do it the hard way. ie download every image separately. I've even tried asking on meteorologic forums and got no replies. Guess it's Sat24 then. |
