Lionhound/Luisport - I've been lurking for years and never feel compelled to post. But I want to thank you for sharing the information in this thread and the Moringa thread! I have newly planted pigeon pea, cassava, jabuticaba, grumichama, lychee, loquat, lemon, lime and papaya. I have mature coconut, tangerine, orange, grapefruit, coco plum, surinam cherry, black sapote and tropical almond trees growing. I'm hoping my 3 longan seeds will sprout soon! I had never heard of pigeon pea and can't wait to try it! Fantastic thread! Thank you kindly.

Mostly sapotes are grown in South Florida but I will check the markets for it. Do you need seeds? I found this clue in comments section of another gardening blog :

[link to mundani-garden.blogspot.com]

My yellow sapote was sent to me in a small flowerpot from Portugal by a man fond of tropical trees. I have lost contact with this man. Sorry. He is a university professor in Lisbon. The two fruits that it can see in my blog are from a Canarian orchard near a road of Tenerife.

You are a nice guy. Do you have a producing tree?.

I'm scanning the Syria thread now. So scary what is happening there. I'm going to pot up a bunch of pigeon peas and try to have started trees to pass out if this turns worse. The Damascus prohpecy is close to being fulfilled. Pray for the Syrian people.
