Knowledge is knowledge, its man that keeps it hidden. Knowldge is only gained by asking questions and seeking what you wish to learn, it is accessible to all if you know what questions to ask.

genesis 2.9 says there were 2 trees in the middle of the garden
1 was the tree of life and the other the tree of knowledge

Yeah, so? She said herself that God told them not to eat from the tree of THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. She knew what tree it was. The only thing she was tricked about was that she'd become like God if she ate it, and it was the serpent who told the lie, not God being careless or cruel.

I thought Adam and Eve were immortal until they ate the fruit of the tree of life ....which made them mortals...

She ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. If she did not do that, then Adam and Eve would have still been in the Garden of Eden to this day and none of us would exist. Not even Jesus Christ.

Altering our DNA so that we could "see" that which is good or evil was essential to our growth and advancement despite the fact that it was a sin, which is somewhat confusing for me because they did not have the knowledge of good and evil in the first place.

In any case, we "graduated" in debt to God.

This is what the powers that be understand very well. Keeping all of us in Debt, keeps us indentured to them, but unlike God, we can repay our debt and become like God, creditors.

As the saying goes, it's much better to give than to receive.

Thats exactly my point as well. Maybe he was afraid that if they gained more knowledge they would have the same knowldge as him and realise that he wasn't a god, only someone with more knowldedge than them. Some one can only be controlled if they are ignorant without knowledge, having knowledge it sets you free.

Without the knowledge of of heating/electricity/housing etc he could keep them in their cage where they relied on him to give them what they needed to survive, just like keeping a pet.

By gaining knowledge you realise that their is no-one to look after you and you are on your own. This is quite scary for some, who would rather be kept in ignorance.

Nothing says either of them ate from the Tree of Life. It was only after they sinned that God said the man must not eat of it or he would live forever, and drove him out to work the ground from which he alone was taken, which God cursed on his account alone.

But on the other hand, we don't know why they would need to eat if they were immortal. Yet people eat in heaven when they're clearly not mortal, so we just don't know.

He did want them to know knowledge,just gradually and not straight away he wanted humankind to learn and explore,instead she could cheat and find it out straightaway, the tree I think is symbolic for something a lot more advanced, I think it was a mass library, but not books high tec like in some kind of space ship or Somthing, I think in the beginning the sons of god lived among us helping in a good way but one off them wanted us to find things out a lot sooner and so got eve to get all the knowing straight off instead,I think there's more to it than just a tree it wasn't no tree.

God meant for all this to happen..

Adam was there with her, listening to the serpent tempt her and saying nothing. Adam had been ordered by God to guard (not merely 'keep') the garden, and he failed, which is why Eve ate the fruit. When she handed it to him (she did not tempt or entice him), he ate it willingly and with his eyes wide open. Then, when God confronted him, he had the gall to blame God for giving him the woman! This rebellion is why God cursed the ground, because only Adam was taken from it, and only Adam was told to work for his food.

Eve could have stayed, but God predicted (not ordered) that she would turn toward (not desire) her husband more than God, and thus share in Adam's fate. Had she stayed, she would have been the one to have the virgin birth. It was her seed alone which would produce the Savior, which is a giant clue that she was being honored by God for not blaming him for her sin.

TPTB are misogynists, and so they would never have portrayed Eve as the victim of beguiling and the one honored with producing the eventual Savior.

How about you just tell us yourself? That way I know you're not just parroting somebody's claim but understand it.
