It's probably Venus... it is EXTREMELY bright for some reason. I noticed it on my way home from work. 945 eastern

Wasn't Venus. But thanks for the input. I would like to know what is that bright, doesn't move for over 30 minutes, and then disappears.

I saw this last night after 10pm...I thought it was a very bright star...I went back out after 11pm...I was watching it and it started moving...It then vanished...It was no star

SC, someone on that thread proposed that it was a satellite that had been reflecting the sun and then blinked out when the sun stopped hitting it.

Does it seem like this oculd be an explanation?

Im in downtown Phoenix, the sky as always is pretty washed out and I don't see anything. Can you be more specific in direction: wsw, wnw, on the horizon, higher in the sky....
