Now, I am just an AC here, but in real life I have a job working with kids, a significant number of which have been diagnosed by "qualified professionals" as having a disorder such as high-functioning autism or Aspergers.

Honestly, it's total bullshit. If you are not crapping your pants and eating shoelaces, there's nothing wrong with you that is not fixable with EFFORT.

Most of the behavioral issues I see with kids has a lot more to do with PARENTING than it does with a defect in the child. If parents treat their kids like they are unteachable nose-picking mouthbreathers, then they will become that. If they treat a heavily Downs Syndrome kid with REAL disabilities like a normal kid, they will turn out really normal.

If you think you are fine, you probably are.

You've almost got that right, but what you don't understand is that there really is something wrong with the brain physically. It has nothing to do with behavioral issues, because I am completely peaceful until I am in PAIN.

Like anybody else when my body is enduring something painful it has fight or flight instincts. For someone with a sensory disorder like AS being able to control any part of your body at that point is almost impossible. It's as natural as a reflex.

I was always treated as a normal kid up until I really started have trouble being able to handle the world around me as a teenager.

When I was young I had all the same issues, and I can remember them. I remember being 2 years old because of the photographic memory. Something most people cannot remember. I remember having a sleeping disorder my entire life. I remember being in crowded places and feeling like I was dying.

I STILL feel like that. I can't even go to malls without experiencing that. I honestly wish I could shop in a store without someone asking if I needed help! rant
