My sister in law's son who is 18 has Aspergers Syndrome. This sounds exactly like what you have. He has done very well controlling his emotions in part by going on a strict gluten free/casein free diet. Sounds like you'll be fine IMHO  Yes I am still working on going GFCF. It is kinda hard to say no more to things like pizza though.. Well, I don't have autism but I have been gluten free for almost 5 years now. I've lost 100 pounds and all of the stomach problems I was having are gone. There are many more gluten free items now in the grocery store and in restaurants than there was 5 years ago. They're not quite as good as the real thing but they're not bad. You get used to it after awhile. I quit drinking 18 years ago and don't miss it at all. It's pretty much the same way with bread and pasta for me now.
