I have autism! Do you think I am truly disabled? Ask me anything.

My sister in law's son who is 18 has Aspergers Syndrome. This sounds exactly like what you have. He has done very well controlling his emotions in part by going on a strict gluten free/casein free diet. Sounds like you'll be fine IMHO Quoting: G3 Yes I am still working on going GFCF. It is kinda hard to say no more to things like pizza though.. Quoting: CJStryker Well, I don't have autism but I have been gluten free for almost 5 years now. I've lost 100 pounds and all of the stomach problems I was having are gone. There are many more gluten free items now in the grocery store and in restaurants than there was 5 years ago. They're not quite as good as the real thing but they're not bad. You get used to it after awhile. I quit drinking 18 years ago and don't miss it at all. It's pretty much the same way with bread and pasta for me now.
