I thot it was funny you mentioned how hard it would be to go gluten free due to having to give up pizza - my son with Aspergers (who I told you about earlier in this thread) - that is his ultimate food, like he would eat it 3 times a day if you let him, although now that he's coming up on 18 he is a bit more flexible. I remember going to a support group of families with kids on the spectrum whose children were mostly in grade school, and the dietary limitations were something they found hard to accept in their children. But at least my son likes his with pineapple, so the greasy, chemical filled pepperoni is eliminated, could be worse.

Do you have only certain foods you find appealing, like a short list compared to other people?

The reason I said that is because to someone with autism things like wheat soy and diary products have proteins aren't fully digested. They get in the blood and make their way to the brain where they can react with the brain in a way that causes changes in behaviors.

This is why many would advocate a GFCF diet for someone with autism.
